Minosaur/Minosaur's Loop-To-Track Workout

Escape loop hell. Train to become a track finisher.

Turn any loop into a full track in 60-90 minutes. This is the step-by-step training program I built to finish 31 tracks in one year while working full-time.

Break out of the loop for good.

You can make a decent loop. But turning it into a full track? That’s where it falls apart.

You end up making 49 versions of the same idea. You get stuck with tracks that are nearly there… but never actually done. Or maybe some are 'finished', but don't flow like your favourite records.

So what’s the fix? Reps. 💪

To get fit, you don’t watch fitness videos. You train. Finishing music is the same. You need a system that trains those decisions.

This is the Loop-To-Track Workout.

It's a repeatable training program for finishing electronic music. Not a bloated course you watch once. Not a template you copy. A focused system you run through every time you make a track, plugging in your own sounds and style.

The first time you run through the Workout, you'll make a complete track structure in 60 to 90 minutes. Then you'll refine and finish the track with short follow-up sessions.

Here’s what that means in practice:

  • Make YOUR music, not someone else's template.

  • Finish your tracks while you follow the workout – train through reps, not theory.

  • Complete tracks you can send to labels, play in sets, and feel proud of.

Because this doesn't train you to finish one track. You'll become the kind of prolific producer who finishes every track as second nature – and actually feel good about the process :)

I want to train to finish tracks:

This workout is for YOU if:

• You've got dozens of unfinished projects and no clear path to completing any of them.

• You can make loops but you struggle to turn them into full tracks.

• You can arrange, but the process is painful and the results are hit-or-miss.

• You want a repeatable system for YOUR sound, not a template to copy.

What you'll learn in the Loop-To-Track Workout:

This is a workout program, not a one-off tutorial. The more reps you do, the faster you improve – the same way a gym program builds strength.

Meet Joe, your track-finishing coach

I finished 31 tracks in one year while working full-time at Cableguys. I've released many of them in the past few months.

Before that? I could arrange. I could finish tracks. But the process was slow, inconsistent, and I never trusted the results. Despite 20 years of music production experience, being former Editor of Computer Music magazine, a track with over 10 million streams, and plenty of BBC Radio 1 plays.

I knew my tools. I knew synthesis. I knew sound design. None of that knowledge made finishing tracks more reliable.

The breakthrough came when I stopped trying to learn more. I decided to build a system for making arrangement decisions quickly. A repeatable process I could follow every time I sat down to produce – whether the session was flowing or whether I was completely stuck.

The Loop-To-Track Workout is that system. The same one I now use to finish tracks on autopilot.

Frequently asked questions:

What DAW do I need to run the workout?

The principles and framework work in any DAW. The demonstrations use Ableton Live, but the system is about decision-making, not software-specific techniques.

What genres of electronic music does this work for?

All of them. You plug your genre and taste into this workout. This isn't a template – it's a framework for making arrangement decisions that works whether you make techno, house, drum & bass, hip-hop or anything in between.

I'm a beginner. Is this too advanced for me?

If you can make a basic loop with drums, bass, synth presets and samples, you're ready for this. The workout is designed to meet you where you are and build your finishing skills through repetition. You don't need advanced production knowledge.

I've been producing for years. Will I learn anything new?

This was built by someone with 20 years of experience who could already arrange – just not consistently or confidently. The problem usually isn't knowledge. It's not having a repeatable process that works whether you're feeling inspired or completely stuck. That's what the Loop-To-Track Workout gives you.

How long does it take to see results?

The first time you run through the workout, you'll have a complete track structure in 60 to 90 minutes. The system is designed for repetition. Each time you use it, you get faster and more confident. Typically you'll notice a real shift after 5-10 full reps.

How is this different from YouTube tutorials?

YouTube is great, but it gives you scattered tips and ideas that have to hook you and fight for retention. The Loop-To-Track Workout gives you a complete, structured system you follow from start to finish, every time you make a track.

How much content is included?

1 hour 13 mins of video: 9 teaching videos walking you through the full process, plus a 40-minute track build from scratch. It's focused on purpose. The value is in using it right now in your tracks, not watching endless tutorials. Plus you get the 46-page Track-Finishing Bible and tracker worksheets to guide every session.
